I know in this photo, they don't look that muddy but by the time we made it back to the car it was pouring rain and we were all covered in mud! I also forgot my towel so you can imagine how thrilled I was. Luckily we have seat covers! As you can see, Zoe is not very impressed.

Remember the "hug" trick that I showed everyone from yesterday? If you haven't seen it yet be sure to check it out because it's so cute: National Hug Day. Zoe is using her jump over trick to get out of the "hug" position when I recalled them! I love this photo so much that I actually squealed when I saw it in my viewfinder. I hope everyone thinks it's as cute as I do!

It's really rare that I capture Phoenix looking at something else. On this day, there was another hiker and a dog coming our way. Phoenix has to keep an eye on other dogs because they could be big and scary. Usually she will stare right into the camera for me!

I love it when I'm able to capture Phoenix's true personality. She's a very happy, playful dog but she's serious about getting her photo taken so it's hard to capture her true self! These sorts of pictures end up being some of my favorites!

Pesky Balls!
This is not what you were thinking! Oh no, we are talking about chuck it balls! I'm pretty sure Zoe thinks that fetching balls is dumb. Princesses should not have to fetch anything but she does it to humor me and we did train it! Every once in a while the balls don't quite cooperate with her and I get these funny photos.

I know that it's Oregon but I was spoiled a little during the dry summer we had. The girls are hating the rain so much! It does spoil our fun a lot but I know it's needed! Hopefully it goes back to more of light mist than a downpour. Downpours are the worst! There is no quicker way to ruin my dogs' day than to rain buckets!

The other morning we went to the park and I was not prepared! We got blasted by icy wind! The girls kept warm by running around but I felt bad that I didn't have their jackets or mine, either! I was just wearing a sweater. Oops! Luckily it did warm up a little by the time we went around the loop. I think winter might be coming!
